The following is taken from the Methodist web site.

The Methodist Church is committed to safeguarding as an integral part of its life and ministry. Safeguarding is about the action the Church takes to promote a safer culture.

This means we will:

promote the welfare of children, young people and adults

work to prevent abuse from occurring

seek to protect and respond well to those that have been abused.

SAFEGUARDING:

Hello Everyone,
After many years of stirling service by Laura Hodges as Safeguarding Officer,
Laura has decided that it is time to retire from the post and I am picking up the baton
and hope to run with it.

It is a daunting prospect but with your support I’m sure I can conquer this.

As you know the foundation training has to be renewed every five years.

I find on the list I have been given many are out of date.

Could you let me know if you last trained in 2019 or before and let me know
the date that you trained.

Ian Belcher from the Black Country has organised some Foundation training in
Leabrook MC Wednesbury in September/ October –

the link is: ianbelcher71@gmail.com

However more local training is hopefully planned for November.

Thank you for listening.

Best wishes to you all.
Pam Harrison.
